[heathkit] RE; Heathkit mt-1 AND mr-1 manuals - ans. to comments

Sandy and Val

Yes not only is he a jerk but a first class jerk.  I copied Bama Site with the heath kit section and do not mind sharing with first class Hams. We are all in agreement with each other and think exchange of information is about as American as Old Glory.  As a Veteran of two wars this is my way of saying do not interfere with people with good intentions.  You sent your money with the expectations of  receiving goods of decent quality.  If heath kit themselves allowed the practice of the past - what this man is doing is a disservice to a elite group of people (HAMs) who give freely of their time to provide a great service to this Country at every level.  If we enjoy restoring  old equipment (rather than having to settle in using a rice burner)  Heath Kit is part of  our legacy and a choice of persons whom want to buy an American product also It was a way that a common working man could afford to get on the air waves.  I said my piece and leaving it alone but Mr. Peterson after paying 5,000 USD for the copy writes should enjoy some profit for his endeavor without treating the consumer as a fish out of water.  Give what people pay for - a copy of the original manual including readable schematics and manuals properly bonded.  Look up the word "COPY". A copy is a reproduction of an original.  You certainly did not receive what you expected.  Look at the Manual Man reproductions of manuals.  He is class act.  This my opinion only.   Yours in spirit,  Jerry Rego  KE7YG

BTW I had the pleasure in restoring heath and building the last transceiver kit.  I built my first kit when I was 12 years old.  It was the small shortwave receiver. Jerry_Rego@Comcast.Com
