[heathkit] Station is now up

Congrats Alan,
I'm running the same setup and love it.

Contact Tom at Hayseed Hamfest,[tom@hayseedhamfest.com]he has re-cap kits
for the DX-60 and the HG-10.
I re-capped mine and it's made a lot of improvements.

Subject: [heathkit] Station is now up

I have my DX-60, HR-10 and HG-10 VFO up and running.

The TX has to be powered up using a power strip.

Bit of hum in RX due to caps likely as it lessons with time.

Still not hearing spot on the HR-10 from the VFO.

I have to key down and then tuned on this MASSIVE signal that I use the
meter to zero beat. Then up the high side just a smidge.

Everything is grounded to power ground for now. Under 150's mv neutral to
ground.

Cable is in place to build the technical ground.

The cable looks to be 5/8" copper.

Ideas on grounds would be appreciated.

Best 73,

Alan

I am not even bothering to contact anyone with the contest going right now.
