I have acquired a HEATHKIT meter Model IM-104, with no assembly or operating instructions.  Simply put, no paperwork.  An electrical engineer friend thinks it is an electronic meter and that absolutely nothing will operate without a full set of batteries.  It obviously takes one D cell, with two slots for what I thought were for two pairs of double AA's.  Double AA's do not fit, triple AA's are too small.  We were unable to find a battery of the right length in three different battery catalogs.   We thought possibly it requires two pairs of 4.5 volt batteries.  The meter itself is a West meter with an apparent number of 407-169. 

        Does anyone know what are the correct batteries and where they might be obtained?  Also, does anyone have the paperwork for this kit.  John Demcisak
