[heathkit] Heathkit Hi-Fi/Stereo: AJ13/AA32 looking for a new home

Greetings all,

I have an AJ-13 FM Stereo Tuner and AA-32 Stereo Amplifier that I would like
to find a nice loving home for ;-) I picked these units up "on a whim" and
subsequently decided there were already too many projects pending....

If you are not familiar with these units, the AJ-13/AA32 were "entry-level"
component hi-fi/stereo units which were produced in the mid-1960's. These
units are in nice physical condition with a few paint chips and scratches on
the cabinets but with excellent faceplates/knobs. Internally all the tubes
are there and all but one are two appear to be original (mostly Mullard).
Whoever built these units did a nice job - no "hot nail" soldering here! The
only negative is that the FM tuner power cord has been snipped off about
halfway - I suspect that the units were "de-installed" by someone who was not
technically inclined as the audio cables were snipped in the middle also...
it apparently didn't dawn on them how easily an RCA connector unplugs???

My guess is that these were operational when "retired" as the fuses look
good/original but needless to say they would probably need a slow (variac)
wakeup and/or recapping to resurrect them successfully. I do not have manuals
but they seem to be readily available.

I am open to offers (cash or swap) on these if anyone is interested.

TNX/73, Al
