while going thru some manuals, i found a one page sheet that was sitting folded in my GD-1B Grid Dip Meter Assembly Manual; this manual is p/n 595-67, 1956 datecode. The p/n on the 341-A sheet is p/n 595-76 (no date). This documentation pertains to: "Use of the Extended Range Coils, Kit 341-A"; the kit consists of two tapped coils (p/n 40-51B 1 Pie Wound Coil, & p/n 40-51A, 2 Pie Wound Coil), which extend the range of the GD-1B down to 350kc; normally, coil p/n 40-46A is the lowest range, usable 2 - 5 mhz unless the extended range kit is ordered. this kit is mentioned in the specs page of the GD-1B manual, and is also mentioned at the bottom of the logging scale chart located in the "operating" section of the GD-1B manual (this chart is to be used w/ the 341-A Kit). i have scanned the one page that the Extended Range Kit comes with, along w/ the logging chart; the logging chart is available in the BAMA download of the GD-1B, but the scan is of low resolution, and a little "iffy" in the readability factor, so i've scanned the chart as a .jpg @ 300dpi for clarity. anyone wishing to have these two scans emailed to them please simply contact me; be advised the scans are just under 1 mb (due to the graph scan), please make sure your INBOX can handle this. tnx, barry carson city, nv PS: i will probably upload these to BAMA sometime next week. -- Barry Tuttleman Carson City, Nevada electronics-related website: http://home.att.net/~btuttleman2/electron.html industrial-related website: http://home.att.net/~btuttleman/barrysite.html
