Happy New Year to All

I am trying to find out if a Turner 454X singleside band microphone is working and I don't have any equipment except a couple of CB sets and a VTVM. I know the switch works ans I would like to know if I should get continutity across the element, it has 2 wires soldered to an aluminian disk. Or can anyone tell me how to go mic pin to socket pins of a CB set. The CB has 5 pin the mic has 4. I am looking around for a tape recorder or something I can just feed the mic into.
