• Share ideas and thoughts about Heathkits with fellow enthusiasts.

Joining the List
To join the list, send an e-mail message to listserver@cyberventure.com. Leave the message subject blank. The message body should contain only these words: subscribe heathkit. The rest of the message should remain blank. Do not append your signature line to the message.

In response to your request to join, you will receive a confirmation request which you must acknowledge before you can be added to the list.

List Policies
This is a closed list and you must join the list before you can post to it. Post only material that is appropriate for the list audience. Information about Heathkit or parts availability is always welcome. This includes both free and for-sale items.

All messages, including message replies, are distributed to the entire list. If you wish to communicate privately with a message poster, please readdress your message to that individual before sending it.

Avoid posting negative or derogatory comments. Anyone doing so or otherwise abusing the list will lose their posting privileges or may be permanently banned from the list.

While all messages are scanned for viruses before they are distributed to the list, there is no guarantee that messages will be contamination-free. Use appropriate safeguard measures including virus and spam protection on your own computer to avoid potential problems. Do not open messages or attachments that appear suspicious in nature.

Posting A Message To The List
To post a message, send your message to heathkit@cyberventure.com.

DO NOT send your message to heathkit-owner@cyberventure.com. This is a list administration address and your message will be NOT be distributed to the list if you send it to this address.

Leaving the List
If, after joining a list, you find that you no longer want to participate, simply send an e-mail message to listserver@cyberventure.com with the words unsubscribe heathkit in the message body. You will be automatically removed from the list and receive confirmation of your removal. Note that the list can only remove you if your reply-to address matches your address on the list. If you are using a different address, send your request to list-help@heathkit-museum.com.

All messages posted to the list since January, 2004, are available in the searchable archive. Messages are archived weekly.

Other Heathkit Lists
Here is a list of other Heathkit mailing lists, courtesy of Van Lincoln, WD8AAM, who runs the Heathkit List at YAHOO Groups. These lists may or may not include cross-postings (messages shared from other lists) so if you join them, you may receive more than one copy of any given message, including those originating here. It is sometimes difficult to know which list originated the message unless you pay attention to the "From" address information.
